New endpapers, fly leaves soiled and worn, early pencil notes and a odd small caricature of Caesar(?) in pencil. Lacks portrait frontis, 14 engraved plates (a few double-page), engravings generally in good condition little or no loss except plate 2 may be incomplete. Some descriptions note a list of contents and ads, not present in this copy, ends on last page 332. Interior pages generally quite bright and clean, paper in great condition, title page a bit edgeworn, some light occasional foxing and some light humidity staining. A page or two with short closed tears. A few pagination errors but complete. Pages 327-332 missing corner affecting the page numbers but still partially visible. Overall a decent but somewhat imperfect copy. Also includes The Life of Caesar and an account of his medals. ESTC R16632
